April 2nd & 3rd - Northern California, Oregon & Washington : After getting through the boring part of California (Central Valley), the scenery improved once you pass north of Redding, California.

My drive through Oregon and Washington revealed some of the most beautiful scenery that I've seen in all my travels. Unfortunately, I could not stop and take all the pictures I wanted because doing so would have added weeks to my trip. The pictures I was able to take, were taken during some of my rest stops.

April 8th - Chittenden Locks : Photos of my trek from Lake Union, to Chittenden Locks.

My original intention was to walk along the Ship Canal and get to Discovery Park, which is located west of the Chittenden Locks. Unfortunately, the weather changed and it started to rain during my walk there. I did manage to get to a bus stop before the wind and rain picked up. From there, I took the bus back to the hotel.

I was able to get to Discovery Park and take pictures there, before I left Seattle (See the Discovery Park / West Point Lighthouse gallery)

April 11th - Discovery Park and West Point Lighthouse : At the northwestern end of Seattle, Discovery Park is the largest park in Seattle. It occupies the former Fort Lawton military reservation, and has sweeping views of Puget Sound as well as the Olympic and Cascade Mountain ranges.

Please refer to the "Map This!" button at the top of this page to see where I was standing for the pictures in this gallery.
