When staying in Alexandria, every trip to the District involved taking the Yellow or Blue Metro. This photo shows the historic main terminal at Reagan National Airport. As you can see, the weather was overcast and hazy. Not the greatest photography weather, but I remained optimistic! I got a head start on the National Cherry Blossom Festival a few days before it opened. The weather was overcast and hazy, which made for very dull looking pictures. However, the sights I was able to see and places I visited were still very beautiful and worthwhile. I started at George Washington University, and headed south around the Tidal Basin, and circled East Potomac Park. Potomac Park has unparalleled views of the Potomac as well as Virgina, Maryland, and Southeastern Washington.
