Northeast of downtown, on a hill overlooking the city, is the Capitol Hill district. Located on this hill, is Volunteer Park, which contains the Seattle Asian Art Museum as well as the Seattle Arboretum and Conservatory. This shot shows the entrance to the Asian Art Museum. This building was the original home of the Seattle Art Museum. After the main collections moved downtown, this building was used to house SAM's collection of Asian Art.
No pictures were allowed inside, but some of the exhibits included Japanese Kimonos, and selected pieces from the Khoan and Michael Sullivan collections.
